Be above it...

People are just a collection of their own thoughts and their own experiences. From your experiences, you develop your own moral code of standards. From this code of standards you hold yourself and most people unfortunately hold other people to these standards as well. People put themselves into other people's shoes and wonder what they wonder do if in the same situation. People project their own values on to others and judge them accordingly. One person can not believe another person was honest if they, in the exact same situation, would lie.

People waste too much time contemplating other people's situations. They rarely have any of the facts, but more importantly, they have a different life upbringing. Most of the time they are just commenting on what they see or think they see and not on what they know. Wasting energy worrying about other people is exactly that... wasting energy.

There's only one person in your life you need to hold to any standard and that's yourself. Focus on becoming the best person you can and let the chips fall as they may. Continue to strive to improve and never fall into the trap of thinking you know it all. Everyone has room to grow. Don't allow other people's negative comments to distract or derail you. Always be true to yourself. Surround yourself with supportive people and shy away from the people who feel the need to judge.

Much of life is a learning experience. You try and you fail. You try again and get better. You'll take different approaches to yield different results until you achieve a result that suits your need. So don't quit trying because the first few results were undesirable... consider them learning experiences.
